Shoemaker Celebrates Topping-Out of Seven Tower Bridge

Conshohocken, PA, Monday, July 13, 2020 . . . Shoemaker Construction Co. and Seven Tower Bridge co-developers Partners Group, on behalf of its clients, Oliver Tyrone Pulver Corporation, and American Real Estate Partners (AREP) recently honored the topping off tradition for this marquee project in Conshohocken. In a socially distant fashion, team members signed the final steel beam before the crane lifted it over 170 feet to be secured by ironworkers to complete the building's 14-story frame.

SETTING THE PRECEDENT FOR THE NEW OFFICE: The event marked a major milestone in the development of this Class A, 260,000-square-foot building at the center of the Tower Bridge development on the banks of the Schuylkill River. Seven Tower Bridge is designed to attract and inspire the best professional talent, and will provide a premium location, modern amenities and world-class quality for the region's most successful companies.

Opening in April 2021, Seven Tower Bridge will feature:

  • 26,670-square-foot column-free floorplates
  • Clear full-height glass windows
  • Four levels of under-building parking with direct access to office floors
  • Walkable access to SEPTA regional rail, 45 restaurants and the Schuylkill River Trail
  • Riverfront amenity spaces, patio and walking paths
  • Advanced fresh air ventilation and MERV-13 rated filters
  • LEED and Fitwell certification
Construction site COVID-19 guidelines and procedures are being strictly enforced. Concrete has been poured through the 12th Floor, precast spandrels are set through the 6th Floor, and glass installation is scheduled to start in the next two weeks. The large exterior pre-glazed units measure 5-feet wide by 9-feet tall and are already staged on the floors. A glass curtainwall will enclose the building's double-height 1st floor lobby. A new crane will arrive on site in September to construct the building's precast parking garage.

BE IN GOOD COMPANY: "Shoemaker is proud to partner with Partners Group, OTP and AREP - in fact this will be our 11th project with OTP," said Maura Hesdon, General Manager of Shoemaker Construction Co. Over the past 30 years, Shoemaker has constructed most of the Tower Bridge buildings and hotels on the sites of former industrial buildings along the riverfront and regional rail and freight lines to create the new 1.7 million-square-foot commercial center. "Our team excels in managing challenging projects, and it has proven its skills in leading the coordination and managing the schedule during this unprecedented time, while maintaining the highest quality to deliver this signature project to Conshohocken, Philadelphia's premier suburban office market." Construction of Seven Tower Bridge commenced in October 2019 and the tower is scheduled to open in April 2021. SOM is the architectural and structural designer, JBB is the MEP Consultant and Pennoni is the civil engineer.
