Shoemaker Construction Co. hires three new project managers to oversee construction of three major projects in Philadelphia
Philadelphia, PA, December 19, 2017 . . . Shoemaker Construction Co., as part of The Butz Family of Companies, is pleased to announce the hiring of James Litzke, John Morris and Joseph Galvin as project managers.
Litzke has a degree in Construction Technology from the Williamson Free School of Trade, graduated from the Superintendents Academy at Clemson University and brings more than 43 years of professional experience to the team. He is OSHA 30 Certified, USGBC LEED Certified, Green Advantage Environmental Certified, First Aid and CPR certified. He will be leading the Philadelphia Housing Authority's North Central Phase II and Phase III design/build projects.
Morris has a degree in Business Management from Widener University and brings more than 24 years of professional experience to the team. His past projects include creative use of resources to rehab and rebuild structures while maintaining compliance with funding source requirements. He will be leading the Fashion District Philadelphia AMC theater overbuild project.
Galvin has an A.A.S. degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and brings more than 27 years of professional experience to the team. He is also OSHA 30 Certified. He will be leading the Philadelphia Housing Authority Ridge Avenue Headquarters design/build project.
As project managers, they will work with preconstruction services staff and design teams to develop project schedules, construction plans and project phasing. During construction, they will be responsible for managing and directing work as well as interfacing directly with clients to ensure their needs are continually met or surpassed. They will utilize cost control, scheduling and material and equipment delivery control systems to plan and manage the construction projects and ensure their delivery on time and under budget.
