Shoemaker Construction Co. Hires Multiple New Team Members
Philadelphia, PA, Auguat 30, 2016 . . . Shoemaker Construction Co., as part of The Butz Family of Companies, is pleased to announce the hiring of Sarah Slawski and Saramari León as project managers, and Semi Toshi as a project engineer.
Slawski has a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a Minor in Construction from Philadelphia University. She received a certificate of completion for Philadelphia's New Zoning Code: Administration and Procedures and she is OSHA 10, First Aid and CPR certified. She brings more than 10 years of professional experience to the project team leading the renovations and fitout in the concourse level of the historic Strawbridge's Building.
León earned a Master of Architecture degree from Washington University and a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Puerto Rico. She is an Associate Member of the Urban Land Institute Philadelphia and has more than 15 years of construction industry experience. León is currently part of the project team working on The Gallery renovation into The Fashion Outlets of Philadelphia.
As project managers, Slawski and León will work with preconstruction services staff and the design team to develop the project schedule, construction plan, and project phasing. They will be responsible for managing and directing the work of the specialty contractors and personnel, ensuring the overall successful completion of their assigned projects and achieving client satisfaction.
Toshi received a Master's degree in Construction Management with a concentration in Sustainability from Drexel University College of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Tyler School of Art, Temple University.
In her role as project engineer, Toshi will be responsible for checking, tracking and monitoring shop drawings and submittals, tracking RFI's, assisting in updating CPM construction schedules, performing field quality control inspections and analyzing potential change directives in support of the project superintendent and the project manager. She will coordinate subcontractors and interface with clients on special projects.
Her current assignments include the Hope Partnership for Education Quint Learning Center and the 801 Market Street North Façade renovation projects.
