Roger S. Ball, LEED-AP
Roger Ball is president of Shoemaker Construction Co. He has been with the firm since 1991 and has served in a variety of capacities, including project management, estimating, marketing, and operations. With additional background in property development and management, Roger possesses a unique understanding of the building process, from the early stages of conceptual planning to final occupancy. Roger earned his MBA at Cornell and has achieved the status of LEED Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Greg L. Butz
Greg Butz became president of Alvin H. Butz, Inc. in 1995, and CEO of Shoemaker Construction Co. in 2003. His career in the construction industry began when his grandfather and company founder still helmed the firm. Greg previously served as construction laborer, assistant field superintendent, project manager, senior project manager, and vice president. A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Greg holds both a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and an MBA from Lehigh University.
Curtis D. Ball, LEED-AP+
Chief Estimator Curt Ball leads a team of preconstruction specialists who collectively estimate more than $500 million in construction on an annual basis. In his quarter century with Shoemaker, Curt has directly participated in the successful delivery of more than 25,000 structured parking spaces; 136 stories of high-rise condos and apartments; 1,000 hotel rooms; 5,000 prison beds; 1 million square feet of retail space; 1/2 million square feet of research laboratories; 20 university academic and student buildings; and 14 medical centers. Curt is a graduate of Colby College and is LEED accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Ron Zemnick
Ron Zemnick is Senior Manager for MEP Systems at Shoemaker, focusing on the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and associated control systems that go into the buildings we build. Whether he’s working on a sophisticated nuclear laboratory 2 stories below a university medical campus, a 43-story Atlantic City hotel tower, a 22,500-seat sports arena, or the restoration of an historic train station, Ron brings a thoughtful approach and over three decades of experience to each project. He holds a bachelor of arts in architecture from Columbia College.
Tyrone B. Reed
As Shoemaker’s safety and health director, Ty Reed embodies the company’s number one core value: Safety First. Ty has more than two decades of experience planning, implementating, and coordinating construction site safety, health, and accident prevention activities. He works with each project team to develop a project-specific safety/loss prevention program and leads on-site safety training sessions. Ty holds a bachelor of arts from Shippensburg University and has completed specialized training programs recognized by OSHA, the American Society of Safety Engineers, and the National Safety Council.
Christina J. Lennox, PHR
Chris Lennox is Shoemaker’s human resources manager, and oversees the company’s benefits and retention programs. She is responsible for recruiting, orientation, and employee relations. She also serves as liaison for medical insurance claims, construction insurance / risk management programs, and workers compensation cases. A certified Professional in Human Resources, Chris holds an associates degree in business administration from the Pennsylvania Business Institute and has completed additional coursework at Pennsylvania State University and the MidAtlantic Employers’ Association.
